Freedom to flourish
The Institute For Faith, Works, & Economics is a site for a Christian organization that “advancing a free and flourishing society by revolutionizing the way people view their work.” This site is chocked full or useful articles in pairing up the Christian Faith with how people work and what they do with their jobs.
The site was designed by the award-winning design firm Whiteboard located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Whiteboard built the site on-top of WordPress and used a font pairing of Avenir and Baskerville. Avenir gives a modern feel while Baskerville keeps the site grounded in tradition which is a big theme in many Christian designs.
The site also has clever animations that enhance the feel of the site without bogging down the user as they navigate through the site to learn more or read some of the many helpful articles spattered across the site. The mixture of the photos set in a grainy, washed out filter also enhances the design to ensure the photos don’t overpower the site but instead feel apart of the design.
